I've been at BBC Radio Lincolnshire for almost ten years. Most of that time has been spent at the hard rock face of news, although I started broadcasting on the Friday night youth programme Livewire as it was then. I remember presenting the programme when Lincoln played Newcastle at home - it was Alan Shearer's first game for the Magpies. I'm really enjoying working on the programme - a complete change from the demands of a busy newsroom - it's just as busy but now entertainment is the name of the game! Best thing - Martin is genuinely funny so I laugh everyday at work - what better tonic! Worst thing - Not having enough hours in the day ! Outside BBC Radio Lincolnlshire I'm married to Phil and mum to Joe who's four. My day's off are spent cutting & sticking, going to Rand Farm Park and trying to squeeze in that quality time before my boy starts school in September. I like eating out and as a former art student I like going to life drawing classes. Heather Murray I was born in Lincolnshire but over the years have lived in various cities including London and Manchester. I returned to the county in the early 90s and that's when I also joined BBC Radio Lincolnshire. I've worked with various presenters here at the radio station and lived to tell the tale. If I was say what I like about this county my list would have to include the sight of Lincoln Cathedral as you approach the city, watching a film at Woodhall Spa's "Kinema" and eating bangers and mash made with Lincolnshire sausages and potatoes. |
