All quiet on set...live in 3, 2, 1...run VT... The Giles School in Old Leake was transformed into a news studio for this film. Help playing audio/video A set was designed and built, the production manager and location director were sent off to find suitable locations and reporters had a masterclass with BBC Radio Lincolnshire's legend Melvyn Prior. The largest group so far used technical wizardry to create their innovative title sequences and original music! When the set was built and the news anchors were in position BBC Look North presenter Hannah Moffat visited the school to give some hints and tips on talking to camera, floor managing skills and reading from an auto-cue (whilst still looking glamorous of course!). The production team were hoping that the studio set could use a 'green-screen’ but unfortunately, like most productions, we ran out of time and the overall effect was lost On the final day the students bravely held a 'premiere' in the main school hall and in true media style a Q&A session with the audience...And if you're interested in the total number of people who they showcased to throughout the day...over 1000! last updated: 31/01/2008 at 16:38 You are in: Lincolnshire > Features > Places > Giles School & Sixth Form Centre Film Project |
