Is yours the worst job in Lincolnshire?

If you've been tuned in to BBC Radio Lincolnshire's breakfast show lately, you'll have heard Rod Whiting talking about the worst job in the county.

Now over the past few weeks, BBC Radio Lincolnshire's breakfast presenter Rod Whiting has been checking out some of the - shall we say - less desirable sounding jobs in Lincolnshire.

He's now been to the slaughter house in Boston, onto the fields cutting vegetables in Kirton, walking the streets with Jenny the traffic warden in Louth, into the depths of the Lincoln Co-op funeral parlour and collecting waste with Dave the Dog bin man.

However, his most recent job and thankfully for him, his last, could be seen as the ultimate test. For his final journey on the quest to find the worst job in Lincolnshire, he went to meet Kevin Lawson at the Canwick Sewage Treatment centre near Lincoln.

Regarding the smells at the sewage works, Kevin says: "It's not that bad, you get used to it. It's no worse that what people put on their allotments and things like that."
