Holidaymakers at Skegness

It can get very busy!

Lincolnshire Webcam - Coastcam

"Oh we do like to be beside the seaside..." That's how the song goes, isn't it! Well now you can visit the seaside whenever you want from the comfort of your computer screen.

We've set up a webcam in partnership with the RNLI at Skegness. It's situated in their observation tower looking across the beach and coast of Skegness.

You can visit the Skegness Lifeboat Station and shop every day over the summer months between 10.30 am and 4 pm.

Safety Information for a visit to the coast

Red & Yellow Flag - This means lifeguards are on patrol.

Two red and yellow flags at the waters edge designate a bathing / body boarding zone supervised by lifeguards.

Black & White Flag The quartered black and white flag indicates the area zoned for surf craft. It is not safe for swimmers and bathers.

Red Flag The red flag means it is dangerous to bathe or swim and you should not go into the water.

In addition the RNLI recommends that children and adults learn FLAGS:

F Find the red and yellow flags and swim between them
L Look at the safety signs
A Ask a Lifeguard for advice
G Get a friend to swim with you
S Stick your hand up and shout for help if in difficulty
