| | I
also grew up in Anderby Creek during the 60's and 70's. My grandfather
and his brother Jack and Vic Hallam built the Lakeside chalet complex at Anderby
Creek. We had many a happy time there and used to spend 6 weeks every summer there.
My Grandparents had the long house at the end of the chalet complex, we all used
to go, all of us, cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, we more or less took Anderby
over for the summer. I remember Grace of Graces stores she used to look after
all us little ones when we went in for our comics and sweeties. Does anyone
remember going to Sunshine Corner in the little church/hall at all on the edge
of the Lakeside complex? We're actually moving to Langton near Spilsby
this weekend so we will definitely be spending alot more time at Anderby Creek
especially as the pooches love to dig and swim. Many many of my happiest
time we're spent there, please don't ever let it change!!!. Amanda |

| | I
have owned a caravan at Anderby Creek for 4 years. I absolutely love the village,
the beach and all the locals are really friendly even when they are outnumbered
by the tourists. My only concern is the utter disregard a lot of dog owners have
for other people using the beach. They allow their dogs to foul the beach and
do not clear the mess up. The dog owners ignore the signs telling them they are
not allowed on the beach with their dogs at certain times of the year. When will
the council clamp down on these selfish people? Jenny We
found this place completly by accident one day as we were driving around the coast,
and fell in love with Anderby Creek straight away. Its a lovely friendly place,
and brilliant for our family, as we can relax and have fun with our 4yr old son,
and our crazy sand digging, swimming pooch! Please please don`t ever let this
place change.....it`s PERFECT as it is! :0) x x x Anon |

love Anderby Creek, I just wish some other dog owners would not let their dogs
foul the beach ! and ruin It for others. David

| | For
years we have admired Anderbys one line of beach front houses and noted the fine
architectural qualities of each one. However, who in their right minds would paint
the whole house in bright YELLOW ! Come on, get real, it is Anderby, not ocean
drive, California! Shen'n'ian

| | I
grew up on this beach. My nan and grandad Grace Harrison and Bob or Robert Harrison
owned Harrison's stores. This beach has the best clay flats in England and great
pools of water at low tide where you pick up full size crabs. The sand dunes to
the rear or the beach are great shade on the hot summers day. We all used to play
in the anti aircraft gun emplacement that was situated behind the flood defences
that my grandad helped build. The area is stooped in tradition of a great seaside
holiday. The caravan parks are within easy walk of the sea and there are even
beach houses. Athoroughly great place for a family holiday. Karl

| | What
have they done to Anderby beach!!!??? There is now a monstrosity of a pipeline
on what was the most beautiful beach in the area. This has totally spoilt it for
me and my family who have been escaping to Anderby for 20 years or so. Please,
please, someone get rid of the pipeline! PS. I agree that some dog
owners are rather selfish by allowing their dogs to use the beach as a toilet.

| | Me
and my boyfriend think Anderby Creek is amazing. We were introduced to the area
by my grandparents who took us for a romantic weekend away to their caravan and
that is what it was, romantic! it is so quiet and the beach is really clean. Even
though it is small it is really interesting. Lisa

| | Quiet,
informal, no hassle. Dogs aren't treated as second class citizens here - they
can run on the beach, swim in the sea and afterwards the dog-friendly cafe will
provide chips and a bowl of water. What more does a dog need. You can keep your
snooty seaside towns, it's Anderby for us

| | The
only thing that puts us off this fine beach is the amount of dogs and the inevitable
mess. Owners dont seem to care anymore and it's just not right to let children
play in the sand for fear of what they will find. JD

| | My
husband and I moved to Lincolnshire about 5 years ago, quickly followed by my
parents and we are all settled here now having moved from down south. My one reservation
was that I would miss the southern beaches. We all used to love going to a beautiful
unspoilt beach at West Wittering and with Anderby we have found an idylic spot
of a very similar ilk. Wonderful, beautiful, relaxing Anderby. I now have no reason
to leave Lincolnshire again. Thank you. Nicki |

| | How
many seaside 'resorts' are like this? Here we have a little piece of paradise,
and that's not even an exaggeration! I am 18 years old, and have been visiting
the ol' AC all my life. In fact, my grandma has been going since she was just
6!! That in itself is an achievement! If you fancy plush places, great 5* food
and hustle and bustle, don't come here!! But if you fancy peace, quiet, time with
family, and just fun times - this is the place for you!!

| | This
is one of my favourite Lincolnshire beaches. There are no amusements, and it isn't
packed out. It's the perfect place to take a picnic and get away from it all and
really relax. It's great in winter too when you've got the whole place to yourself
and there is a bitter wind - it really makes you fell alive.

| | This
is a great place to be, nice beach, friendly people in the shop and pub, nice
beach, we have been holidaying at Anderby Creek for 10 yrs, a real charming place.

| | This
is just how a seaside resort should be, a beach, a parking area, toilets, a small
cafe, a pub, a shop and none of these massive theme parks or markets. The beach
and the sand dunes are ideal for sunbathing, picnics and generally unwinding on
a sunny afternoon. Ricky Smith |

The
perfect dog walk. How often can a dog owner say they had the beach all to themselves
in each direction, for as far as either of us could see. Well today I did. Reeper
(my dog) and I arrived at around midday, neither of us expected to have a walk
with the beach completely to ourselves, and I mean completely to ourselves, not
a soul to be seen in either direction, for without his lead. Reeper had the best
walk ever, and for me it was just special to see a Doberman free of his lead for
a change. Both of us thank all of you for not being there today, from the
bottom of our hearts.
Ian (Grim) & 'Reeper'
PS
- Reeper and I thoroughly recommend the bacon baps from the cafe just before you
go onto the beach. Freshly cooked, and very tasty!!! |

| | Please
keep quiet about this wonderful little place on the Lincolnshire coast, or the
peace may just start to disappear. I was introduced to this delightful little
spot by my then teenage girlfriend, (later to become my wife)some 40 years ago.
We eventually took over her parents caravan, our children had so many happy times
at Anderby, that they too now own caravans and our grandchildren are now discovering
the delights of Anderby Creek.
