Salado's Story
Salado had a difficult time when she first moved here to find safety for her and her three girls...

But eventually, things sorted themselves out and she's now found her place in the community.

Now she works with other women to try to banish the practise of female circumcision or female genital mutilation (FGM) in their community.

This is part of a "Your Stories" bbci project looking at 30 new communities around the country - you can access these by pressing the red button on page 5670 on digital satellite from 1st Oct 2006
