TAKE A LOOK AT THE BOXES HERE
Charnwood
Arts asked school children living around the area to fill old wine
boxes with articles and objects which mean home.
The free exhibition, on until 03 August at Charnwood Museum, displays
their work and gives visitors the chance to see what local youngsters
regard as their sense of place.
Children attending primary schools in Leicestershire have been working
on their boxes as part of projects and the exhibition is a culmination
of a term's endeavours.

Curator
of Where I Live, Daniel Newnham explains why the exhibition is key
to giving local youngsters a sense of where they live.
"A
lot of what the project is about is getting people to think about
things in a different way to normal," says Dann.
Children who want to make their own boxes are invited to put their
own piece of work together at special workshops at the Museum.
Workshops will run at the museum on 22 and 28 of July between 1030BST
and 1600BST, everything is provided except ideas.
Turn up at 1030BST, 1200BST, or 1430BST, bring some items to put
in your box, and create your own living in a box.
