According
to Corin Desborough of the Leicester Lesbian Gay and Bi Centre, many
people are still reluctant to be public about their relationships,
even using assumed names and nicknames. Their stories are below:
From Bridge.
We met in a laundry 3 1/2 yrs ago ..... so romantic.
From Yawn
In Regents Park. I was napping and she tried to pinch me trainers.
We struggled for a bit, and then we fell into something resembling
a coma. Been together (in and out) ever since.
From Steph
Met the ex 'cos I put an ad in the pink paper personals, am now scared
of personal ads.
From Suzi
We met at work, we were both married to men at the time - LOL - friendship
is a powerful aphrodisiac!
From GG to my girl.
tis true..........our eyes met across a crowded room at the opening
night of Glasgay (gay & lesbian arts festival in Glasgow) and we have
been together since that night.
From K.
she had two black eyes when I meet her....she'd broken her nose falling
into a stone fireplace surround...as you do....
From Tri.
We had both advertised in Rainbownetwork, looking for friends only.
First date was tooling around the countryside on her motorcycle.
From Daffy to Kirky.
I met Kirky on Uboot, she txt me out the blue one day....and the rest
as they say, is history Yaaaaaay for uboot!!
From Weebluesmartie to Weepink..
Me and Weepink met at school, I got friends with her 'cos I fancied
her mate! Ended up pulling the mate and then Weepink all in the same
night, but I'd fallen for Weepink .
From C. to Shell…
Ahhh…. That wonderful night in Street Life when I dropped my pint
all over your foot. One year on and I love you more than ever. |
