Sunday Sandra hosts Morning Extra between 06.00BST and 09.30BST.
Featuring news, current affairs and music connected with matters
religious, spiritual and moral in
Leicestershire and Rutland.
Thought for the day has been a consistent feature at breakfast on
BBC Radio Leicester since 1967.
It is the oldest religious feature on local radio in Britain. Each
weekday morning one of our 40 regular contributors from all faiths
in Leicestershire and Rutland broadcasts a two-minute reflection
on Good Morning Leicester at 06.45 GMT and 08.45 GMT. Most are live
and aim to reflect the major talking point of the day in a religious
context.
Our contributors include people from a wide section of the local
faith communities from the Bishop of Leicester to Muslim students
and from teachers to Rabbis. BBC Leicester gives you the chance
to hear 'Thought for the day' on a weekly basis - without having
to get up early.
By clicking on the link below you can start the feature "on
demand" in real audio. Let us have your views on Thought for the
day by e-mailing Sandra Herbert, Religious Programmes Producer sandra.herbert@bbc.co.uk
