Myths about Muslims


The Loughborough Road mosque was built in 1988 and was donated by a Kuwaiti sheikh and holds 600 people.

Muslims across Leicestershire have begun to mark their most holy month of Ramadan.

With increased focus on Muslims since the September 11th attacks now could be a good time to reflect on what we really do know about Islam and the myths surrounding the Islamic religion and culture

Three Muslim students from Leicester, Hamza, Nisa and Abdul will be exploring some of these myths and explaining some of them.


			Loughborough Road mosque is a modern mosque but with a traditional feel.

The three visit Loughborough Road mosque in Leicester and take a tour through what it means to be a Muslim, what the mosque represents to Muslims, its history and why they feel so strongly about praying.
