In Britain the
number of new cases of HIV is at its highest. Locally, Leicestershire
AIDS Support Services (LASS) is approached by at least five new
people with HIV every month needing help.
Too many people
still think AIDS has got nothing to do with them. With every community
increasingly affected, we must fight complacency, denial and ignorance.
What
can I do?
In Leicester,
you can:
- Urge rich
country governments to commit funding to counter this epidemic
and reduce prejudice, stigma and discrimination. Stop AIDS Campaign

- Get involved
locally to support people affected learn more and take action
to help prevent the spread of HIV. Leicestershire Aids Support

- Lobby drug
companies and work with charities to provide affordable treatment
for people with AIDS world-wide. Skillshare International - www.skillshare.org
