Premier
sub ska band The Splitters are bang in the middle of a UK
tour to promote their new album International Smugglers.
And judging
from the geographical spread of comments on their website,
the Hinckley six-piece have a substantial national following.
With gigs
acoming up in Newcastle, Cardiff, Sheffield, Brixton and er
Kings Lynn The Splitters are busy boyz.
The new
album, a follow-up to their acclaimed debut "Rock or
Riot" is being enjoyed by fans across the globe and has
received rave reviews in numerous ska fanzines.
The band
also have a new CD single out - the very immediate Look Away
- described as "Bouncier than a jelly on a bouncy castle
in an earthquake" by Mad Not Mad Zine.
The release
also features a version of live favourite Bus to Barwell,
recorded at The Shed in Leicester. The band are appearing
at The Shed on Saturday 3rd November at 3pm at a gig organised
on behalf of Sunderland Fans Against Racism.
