The Duffmonkeys are a band with the tint of The Beautiful South about them.

The Duffmonkeys are a band with the tint of The Beautiful South about them.
Duffmonkeys - are they?

The Duffmonkeys are born out of the split of local bands Bluefish and The Chief. The band draw influences from artists such as U2, Oasis, Meatloaf and The Wonderstuff.

The band are Clint, Jason, Loz and Carl and came second in the 'live and uncut' national competition. They certainly sound polished enough and remind you of a cross between Sleeper, The Beautiful South and Babybird.

Duffmonkeys are set to play Leicester venues The Lamplighters on 13th and The Shed on 22nd September before travelling to play The Running Horse in Nottingham on 11th October.

Hear their single A thousand number ones here.
