APPLAUSE is a Community Interest group with the twin aims of promoting talented local performers and at the same time raising money for local charities. Founder members of APPLAUSE include BBC Leicester's Dave Andrews, Martin Ballard and Monica Winfield – all of whom have close connections with the performing arts in Leicester and Leicestershire. ![]() Love Musicals?APPLAUSE Somewhere is a musical world tour of great show songs from Chicago to Miss Saigon and Bali Hi to Oklahoma. Theatre groups from Leicester, Wigston, Melton, Hinckley and Loughborough are combining to present a stunning and entertaining show with all your favourite songs from the musicals.

All the APPLAUSE shows will be introduced and compered by BBC Radio Leicester’s Monica Winfield, Martin Ballard and Dave Andrews – all of whom are also part of the APPLAUSE team.
