When did you begin performing?
Seven years old playing the trumpet for the BBC Big Band in Leicester and surrounding areas
Who or what are your greatest influences?
Love is my greatest influence
Describe your sound?
Emotionally charged... and passionate. A genre of music that is best described as memorable and melodically driven songs on lush soundscapes crafted from the heart and soul.
What do you make of the music scene in Leicester?
Quiet compared to London and Amsterdam
Who are your favourite local artists at the moment and why?
Billy no mates are awesome
Do you have a day job?
Promotional activities around the new album, creative thinking, playing and song writing.
What has been your best musical moment so far?
Producing my CD independently and selling the songs by downloads

Best live venue that you’ve played or been to?
I've been playing Leicester City Centre for the last month.

What's been your most embarrassing music themed moment?
I haven't had one. The only time performing can be embarrassing is when you make a mistake whilst playing or singing, but if you're lucky no one notices because they are so into the songs.
What's your favourite track to perform?
'Ever Present Now', although when I play 'Like An Angel', I can see people appreciating the chord changes.
What is your karaoke song of choice?
'Redemption Song' by Bob Marley or 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol are the one I tend to cover mostly.
Which person from Leicester do you most admire?
I don't know many prominent people from Leicester apart from The Elephant Man.

Most romantic gesture you've ever made?
My wife, Grace wasn't very well one evening a few months ago so as a surprise I prepared a bath for her with candles and bubbles, I then put music on and danced with her. I then led her to the bathroom where she burst into tears. She loved it! It was great!
Which three albums in your record collection could you never throw away and why?
I own around ten albums and because I own so few I couldn't throw them away.
Is being based in Leicestershire a help or a hindrance?
London is where the music scene is based so any singer / songwriter not living in that vicinity could be hindered.
