City have conceded seven goals in the last two games, while they have managed just three goals.
The club's top scorer Iain Hume - who scored in both games against the Rams last season - knows they can think the season is over just yet.
"I think it's important we bounce back. We've had a few poor results; a few poor performances, so I think more than the rivalry, and the local pride, we need to perform for ourselves and achieve the standards we have set for ourselves."
