CSV Action Desk is aiming to get hundreds of hats, gloves, scarves, bags, puppets and pencil cases knitted over the next couple of months. Each year Operation Christmas Child sends over one million shoe boxes wrapped in paper and containing small toys and gifts to some of the world's neediest children living in places like Romania, the Ukraine and Belarus. For many youngsters this gift filled shoe box is the only Christmas present they'll receive. This year with your help boxes sent from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland will contain a hand knitted present.
