If you're reading this, then the chances are you know enough about computers to help us; there's really no excuse not to get involved! Be part of history in the making.
As well as those who lived through World War Two, we also need the help of people who know about computers and the net to enter the stories of those who can't onto our site. We even have a member name and password already created to make the process as simple as possible. If your parents or grandparents lived during WWII, maybe you can help to preserve their memories for posterity by aiding them in entering their stories – just a paragraph or a few lines to keep precious details alive for future generations.
If you are a silver surfer and have all the know-how to record your personal stories and recollections, we want to hear all your stories.
Tell us about the letters you received and the food you ate during rationing; let us know what games you played or even the fashion tips for that time - in fact we're interested in everything and anything else that people remember! Whether you're interested in a career in media or just want to help, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a BBC wide project. You can volunteer to be a story-gather and help to collect and input the memories of people living local to you. Call CSV Action Desk at BBC Radio Leicester on: (0116) 201 66 44 or e-mail lisa.reeves@bbc.co.uk and help to create the biggest ever online database of people’s memories living through World War Two. |
