National Literacy Trust

Dedicated to ‘building a literate nation’, the National Literacy
Trust run a wide variety of campaigns and projects which promote reading
across all age groups. One of the trust’s largest initiatives is the
National Reading Campaign www.literacytrust.org.uk/indexcampaign which
encompasses a wide range of exciting community based reading promotions.

The Reading Agency works with libraries to inspire and support reader
development. Projects include The Big Book Share which enables prisoners
to be a part of their child’s reading development through recording
tapes and taking part in special family reading sessions.
