BBC Leicester's webcast brought all the music from the
concert at Victoria Park to users - but if you missed the

The carnival
parade set off from Victoria Park at 1pm, making its way through
the streets of Leicester before returning to the park where
the day continued with music and celebrations.
Bands
including Stiffnaked Fools, Kaine Gospel Choir, Bareface,
Ray King entertained those attending the concert at Victoria
Park and users logging in from around the world.
Carnival Day is always celebrated at Victoria Park on the
first Saturday in August to coincide with the anniversary
of the emancipation from slavery.
