BB Radio Leeds breakfast presenter Andrew Edwards is running the London Marathon on Sunday 18 April, hoping to raise at least £1,500.

To add to the challenge of running 26 miles, Andrew has been persuaded to become a pup for the day - and wear floppy ears and a tail!

Co-presenter Liz Rhodes says: "It was quite a job coming up with something that would look good, wouldn't fall off and wouldn't drive Andrew mad while he was staggering along. I think I've just about managed it!".

If you'd like to sponsor Andrew you can send a cheque, made payable to "Guide Dogs", to: Andrew Edwards, BBC Radio Leeds, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds LS2 9PN.

Alternatively you can donate online, direct to Andrew's account at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, using any debit or credit card.

"I - and our four legged friends - would really appreciate whatever you can afford", says Andrew, who's hoping to finish the race in just over four hours.

"To spur you on to generosity Liz and I are giving you the chance to get creative.

"We'll send a bottle of champagne and Pound for a Pup soft dog to the winner of the wittiest, clean caption to this photo of me trying out my new outfit for the first time!"
