A Virgin Career Guide: How To Make It In The Music Business by Sian Pattenden.

If you are looking for that dream job in the world of the music industry then this book was made for you! Almost every job available is described in full detail. Each chapter is in alphabetic order of career options including accountant, backing singer, music publisher, music TV presenter, popstar, and the most difficult job of all the wife, husband or lodger of a popstar!

How To Make It In The Music Business by Sian Pattenden

Each career option has a description of what the job entails including what hours you may have to work and how much money you could earn, some of the jobs could make you rich beyond your wildest dreams! For example a head of an A&R department can earn up to £200, 000, "not including chart bonuses"!

This book could be a really good helping hand for students, especially those at Leeds College Of Music. I've recently been doing an assignment on careers at the college and this book has all the answers the assignment brief was looking for! Not that I've been cheating or anything!

I seriously recommend this book to everyone interested in the music business, it gives you a good idea of how to start your career out to get to where you want to be.

It's easy to understand, the layout is just as good as it's quick and easy to find each section, plus there are addresses of some top companies you could write to for information or even a job if you're lucky!
