Graham Liver Introducing

Graham Liver Introducing is a feature showcasing some of the outstanding emerging music talent in Leeds.

It will be shown here on the BBC Leeds website very soon (in Mid-February 2008).

The film features 12 music acts, performing original songs, recorded at Leeds College of Music's Toft Studio and is presented by Radio Leeds' Graham Liver.

A wide variety of music styles are featured including hip-hop, indie, pop and folk influences  - the one thing that all the acts have in common is outstanding quality. Many of the performers are present or recent students from LCM, but the line up also includes bands from the community.

Sir Jimmy Savile, starts by saying, "Graham Liver will be offering you first view of the stars of tomorrow… you'll see them and like them, or not as the case may be, and word of mouth will make them the stars of tomorrow. Don't forget if you watch 'Introducing…' you'll see them first!".

Performers:
Patsy Matheson - indie/folk solo acoustic guitar.
I Call Shotgun - 4-piece electro infused dance.
Scars on 45 - indie/acoustic/pop
Laura Jayne Hunter - indie/folk solo guitar and vocals
Neeta - alternative piano/vocals plus band
Middleman - indie/electro/hip-hop
Kinch - 5-piece indie/funk
Ashley Hicklin and the Troubadours - acoustic indie/folk/pop
Rochelle - 4-piece electro/indie/pop
Bikini Black Special - 5-piece indie/pop
Sketches - 4-piece alternative folk-rock
Rosie Taylor Project - 3-piece alternative country/folk/pop

Graham Liver Introducing is a collaboration between the BBC and LCMselect, a project at Leeds College of Music. Leeds Metropolitan University's School of Graphic Design have contributed to the project, with students producing much of the graphic content and animations.

LCMselect offers career development and support to freelance musicians/producers at the start of their careers including, but not exclusively, LCM graduates, alumni and students.

BBC Introducing is dedicated to new music talent across all broadcast platforms.
