Fed up of pretentious art bores blinding you with similes and metaphors about their constructions in soulless art spaces that alienate rather than make you warm to the artwork? ![]() Well, recently-formed, Leeds-based art collective Onthestair have organised a one-off exhibition of their work that's more of a party than a po-faced standard exhibition. Thursday 6 December 2007 is the date for the launch party and they'd like to see one and all come down and check out their wares. They recommend for a relaxed start to the night, come between 5.30 and 8pm: take a look at the art on offer, a glass of bubbly, maybe a fairy cake or two...or stay later to help them celebrate with as they put it: "Groovy DJs, fun times, and a few surprises!" Onthestair aims to support talented and promising northern artists. Some of the artists featuring in their launch exhibition are Rachel Savage, Luke Drozd, Laura Reeves, Jay Mawson and Antonello Raggi. 'Fun For Your Eyes' - the launch exhibition/party for Onthestair takes place from 5.30pm - 12 midnight on Thursday 6 December 2007 @ The Adelphi, 1-3 Hunslet Road (near Leeds Bridge). last updated: 22/11/07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Leeds > Entertainment > Visual Arts > Stairway to heaven External Listings
