The most Magical Event of the year will be taking place in Leeds on Sunday 6 May 2007. Magicians from across the North of England and beyond will be converging on the The Queens Arms in Chapel Allerton for the Leeds Magical Association's 10th annual day of magic. Each year the number of attendees have been growing and this year promises to be no exception. There will be two star lecturers from the world of magic; Andrew Normansell from Manchester, a top class professional corporate performer with the emphasis on entertainment, Also Leeds' very own award winning magician Harry Nicholls will present a special workshop on the famous "Cups & Balls". Everyone attending is guaranteed to learn something new. Also new for this year the Yorkshire Pride Close-Up Competition with a first prize of £100 and a trophy to take home and treasure. Another one of the highlights for this convention will be a recreation of the death defying "Houdini Milk Churn Escape", being attempted just before mid-day by Paul Cheesborough from Leeds - this particular escape nearly cost Houdini his life and has been made a speciality by Paul. There will also be a dealer's display of magical apparatus with magic dealers demonstrating and showing their wears, for those keen to expand their repertoire.
