Fred Trueman: a tribute

Listen to BBC Radio Leeds' tribute to Yorkshire and England cricket hero Fred Trueman.

Legendary cricketer Fred Trueman died on July 1 2006. In a spectacular career Fred took over 300 test wickets and was no stranger to controversy and conflict.

Here Gareth Jones talks to friends and colleagues of 'Fiery Fred' about his life and career.

Dickie Bird says of Fred, " (he had) a beautiful approach to the wicket and could swing the ball late at pace".
