ARTIST/BAND: Adult By Accident
BASED IN: HYDE PARK LS6
BAND MEMBERS: Terence Gray - Guitar, piano and vocals

BIOGRAPHY: I had my first guitar lesson when I was 12 and my music teacher didn't approve and made me sit in front of the class and said 'go on then, play something'. so I played Yellow Submarine and made him look stupid. Ha.
I've been in a few bands but I'd prefer to go down the David Bowie route and do it myself 'cos I'm a massive musical dictator... woo-hoo-haarrrr!!!!
Just finished my first four-track ep and hope to get some kinda label interest and in the meantime, just gonna keep playing in and around Leeds music scene and sharpening up my performance skills like.

STYLE OF MUSIC: The songs I write are a diary of my life going back about 10 years. They are personal to me but universally recognised by everyone. They reflect my concerns and also illustrate my soul. My music is the acoustic b*****d offspring of; Stuart Sutcliffe, Ritchie Edwards, Syd Barrett and Joe Strummer.

INFLUENCES: My first influence growing up was Queen, yeah I know. I just love them though.. esp the early, progressive dark stuff, and of course, Mr Mercury's flamboyance and showmanship! Later on it was The Clash 'cos I'd never read lyrics like that before, that were socially aware and actually relevant to my life. Pink Floyd were a massive influence on me via an older brother with cool taste in music and I used to play The Wall over & over cos I was blown away by the sheer scale of it. Obviously being a scouser I can't leave out The Beatles, you know, John Lennon was at my Gran's house quite a lot and used to change into his teddy boy clothes 'cos his aunt Mimi didn't approve. True story.
Rest - Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Muse, RadioHead, The Who, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Incubus, Nick Cave, Echo & The Bunnymen, Badly Drawn Boy, The Damned, The Cramps, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Elvis Aaron Presley, Kanye West, Manic Street Preachers.. . Too many to mention...

FAVOURITE SONG: The perfect pop song has got to be 99 Red Balloons by Lena. If ya don't know it, check it out. I don't know why but it has a melancholic spirit beating away at its heart.
BEST MOMENT SO FAR: Highlight so far is probably watching my finished film at the cinema, complete with soundtrack dubbed by me. So satisfying hearing my songs  belted out like that.
OTHER INFO: I've just finished my first ep Love Laid Bare and have uploaded it onto my site. The final song I recorded, SheepHead is about the guy who tried to kill George Harrison 'cos he lived by my mum's and he used to live in an empty flat , like, sitting on a plant pot and he thought The Beatles were witches.
