Your Yorkshire moment

The search is on for your special stories and memories from God's Own County. Could you be in the running for a Yorkshire Moments award?


Whether it's a sporting triumph at Headingley, an inspirational family event or a romantic moment in Roundhay Park, BBC Yorkshire is searching the world for stories from this region.

Do you have happy memories of Roundhay?

The Yorkshire Moments Award will celebrate exceptional memories of Yorkshire. It will be presented as part of the Yorkshire Tourist Board's White Rose Awards.

To enter for the award you need to explain your Yorkshire Moments memory, in 100 words or less, including:
- what place your Yorkshire Moments memory is linked to
- why you were there - and when
- whether you still visit the place or are still linked to it in some way

The winner will be presented with their award by BBC Look North's Harry Gration and Christa Ackroyd during the glitzy awards ceremony on Tuesday, October 4 at York's National Railway Museum. The winner will then be treated to a night in one of York's premier hotels.

To enter the competition, you can email yorkshiremoments@bbc.co.uk or post your entry to BBC Yorkshire Moments Award, Broadcasting Centre, 2 St Peter's Square, Leeds, LS9 8AH. Please remember to supply your name, contact telephone number and address.
