Redwood Thinkers

Redwood Thinkers

These three accomplished musicians are influenced by different generations of songwriters from Dylan onwards. Read on to find out more...

ARTIST/BAND: Redwood Thinkers
BASED IN: Leeds
BAND MEMBERS:
Darran - Vocals/guitar
Andrew - Vocals/guitar
Kezia - Vocals/percussion
(all members write the songs)
BEEN GOING SINCE: 2004
BIOGRAPHY: All three members are accomplished musicians from very varied backgrounds and tastes, this provides a vital chemistry at the core of their gutsy musical style.
STYLE OF MUSIC: The EP 'Open Your Eyes' is described as "somewhere between Bob Dylan and Turin Breaks as the music moves from upbeat to melancholic with down right mellow in between."
Redwood Thinkers gently cut across eras and styles tied together by powerful song writing with infectious hooks and the sheer potential beauty of the English language.

"Dealing in personal, personable and down to earth everyman’s storytelling, Redwood Thinkers daub a wash of homely yellow ochre over everything and invite you to consider everyday realities with an accepting eye." Lauren Strain – Leeds Music Scene, May 2005

INFLUENCES: Ranging from They Might Be Giants, Ben Harper, Vertical Horizon, Fleetwood Mac ... too many to mention
BEST MOMENT SO FAR: quotes from past gigs - 'Look forward to seeing you guys at Glastonbury one day'
