All My Friends Are Dead

Read a profile of this Leeds-based band.

ARTIST/BAND: All My Friends Are Dead
BASED IN: Hyde Park
BAND MEMBERS:
Nick Burrows - guitar, vocal
Tessa Horvarth - cello
Doug Adams - bass
Andrew Daffern - drums
Harry Dean - guitar
BEEN GOING SINCE: September 2004
BIOGRAPHY: Harry and Nick started jamming in 2003, but not much really happened until 2004 where drummer Andy joined followed by Doug and the last but not least addition of Tess on cello.
STYLE OF MUSIC: I suppose "post rock" would best describe our music, the pieces are mainly instrumental but singing is becoming more prominent in more recent songs, we aim for a melodic swayingness, loud quiet/ quiet loud.
INFLUENCES: Influences include Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, a Silver Mt Zion, Fridge
FAVOURITE SONG: Tomorrow Never Knows by the Beatles, last track on Revolver, the drum beat is incredible the melody, it's so fresh and still modern today. Anything written by the Beatles I would love to have written.
BEST MOMENT SO FAR: Our first gig at the Fenton, after six months of solid practice our music was finally out there!!!!!
OTHER INFO: Going to record at Ghost Town in Leeds soon so a demo should be ready very shortly.

Hello AMFAD, saw you guys last night at The Bassment and was extremely impressed. Do you have any more gigs coming up and do you have anything on record yet? I have music media contacts and would like to know more.
