A child of the World

Hi! My name is Xiaoyun but people call me Susana. I was born in China and used to live in Spain. That is why I have got a Spanish name. Now I am living in England because I am married to a British man.

In 1988 my father came back to China from Spain. He had been in Spain about 3 years. That was the first time he came back. Then my mother wanted my father to take me and my brothers to Spain. Then they decided for us to leave in February 1989.

Leaving China

In China I had a very nice life, I was a very good student in my class also I had lots of friends and very nice tutors.

When I knew I would leave this country, I was very upset and sad. But I had no choice.

First, we took a train from my city to Gou Zhou. Then, we took a plane to Hong Kong. I was quite excited becase it was my first time by plane but still I felt sad.

After that, we took a plane and finally arrived in Madrid the Capital of Spain.

I feel like a tourist in my home country

As time goes by when I visit China I feel I am more Spanish than Chinese. When I go to China I feel I am more like a tourist. I appreciate that my father made this choice. I love Spain it is a very nice and interesting country. It is a prefect place to live.

In life sometimes you lose some thing but sometimes you win more than you lose. This is life!
