My husband, our two children and I came to Leeds two years ago.

Coming to England was a real adventure for us. Although we didn't know where we were going "to set our feet".

The perspective of the unknown was an excitment for me.

In fact, it was my husband's dream to come in this country to learn English. And I was just willingly following him. I have never regretted this choice.

My English Skills

Since we arrived our English has improved. We have done an "English for work" course at Thomas Danby college wish helped us to find a job.

They have taught me more than just grammar rules, vocabulary words, tenses, I.T skills or something of their mathematic knowledge.

They have positively left their marks on my life. I will never forget it. It will count in the fulfilment of my dreams.

I am planning to go further in my studies because I want my English mastered.

I am not satisfied, even if my writing and my speaking have improved during the last seven months.

I still have to work hard to brush up on my English and ameliorate my pronunciation.

Hardships

The difficulty I have encountered during this year is to cope with all the responsibilities of being a spouse, a mother, a householder, a worker and a student.

I must say that it is really not easy.

Often I felt frustrated because I couldn't work at home as I would like. But I will not give up studying. It is a passion for me to discover knew skills. It is going to be one of my hobbies.

I have already been accepted on a Chef Diploma course in Food Preparation (NVQ 2) which I know is a very demanding course.
