The
people in Africa have this theory that everybody is everybody's
sister.
I was
born in Angola; I lived in a block with my mother, brother, aunties
and some cousins.
I guess
that at that time, when I was 7 years old, I didn't like to go to
school because I had to wake up at 6 o'clock because my aunty was
going to drop me at schooll, sometimes when you didn't know the
timetable, they could beat you up with a stick.
Why
I moved out
Living in Angola was good. I was happy because I had my family near
me, but when I think of Angola brings me unhappiness too. I am talking
about the war, the number of people that die everyday, and the political
problems which are the reasons why me and my family had to move
out.

Arriving
in England
When I arrived people were friendly, lively and helpful. I was given
a house quickly, but I didn't make friends easily however, I had
some cousins with me so I wasn't completely alone.
It has
passed now 1 year and two months since I arrived in England. At
the moment I am doing my English course which I think I am doing
well and after, I think I am going to do a business course.
My
ambitions
I've always liked sports. I used to do sports like football and
basketball, but just in the streets as my village didn't have any
gyms near by.
I am
now joining a girl's basketball team and it won't be long till I
start to join a girl's football team too.
Music
and soap operas are other things that I love.
I
feel good in England; I just don't like the weather. I like the
English classes and life will get better as I grow up.
