Don't
be racist - think before you speak.
I think
that people are racist to each other because they are different
and that they celebrate different festivals. I think that being
different is important, because if we were not all different and
were all the same - life would be boring.
Most
of my friends are a different colour to me, but that doesn't bother
me because whatever colour you are, or wherever you come from, everyone
is equal - and I like my friends for who they are.
Faye,
Year 5.
This
is a block-print by Ivan whose title is 'Say No to Racism'. Ivan
says that "it doesn't matter what colour you are, it's what
you're like that important."
I
can't believe people make fun of people's skin colour.
I have
a friend who is a kind hearted girl and is always there for me.
If I am sad, she tries to cheer me up and when I'm grumpy, she tries
to make me laugh. She plays with me a lot and is a perfect friend.
Sometimes people get at me just because my perfect friend is black.
That's wrong... they're wrong. Why do people behave like that?
Abigail,
Year 3.
