Yes,
art still goes on in school!
"It
was brilliant and gooey, because for once in our school-life we
were allowed to be messy" said Andrew excitedly (year 6).
Before
all the mess started we researched our work on the internet and
in the school library. Our keyword was 'Carnivals' and we saw all
sorts of strange and exotic masks and costumes.
It
was really good to get to use different materials, such as feathers
and stars and sequins! It was good to get to use paint and mix different
colours as well.
"It
was fun to show people our masks in assembly," said Rajvinder
proudly.
Usually,
we only get to draw stuff in Art, but here we got to make unique
objects of art that we could also wear.
Eat
your heart out Damien Hirst! ...No! on second thoughts, he probably
would!
