The
'Chanse' Report
I had
been waiting for this moment and finally it arrived. Year 6 had
been talking about going to Lineham Farm for weeks before they even
got there. Only 50% of the children in Year 6 were chosen, so this
was a once in a lifetime trip (or should it be once in a school-time
trip?).
When
we had settled in, we got straight onto the tasks. We asked Laura
Colley how she thought the week was going to go,"I hope that
we have a really nice time here .I'm sure we're going to enjoy our
stay", said Laura.
We
were going to be doing a range of activities including animal care,
cycling, art, orienteering, climbing and archery! There was also
a farm with a variety of animals including Shetland ponies, sheep,
rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. What a great place Lineham is.
The
children stayed in seperate rooms with bunk beds. Girls in one room
boys in another. NO mixed rooms! We were going to be split into
four groups red, blue, green and yellow. Each group would be doing
different activities every day. We would be doing two activities
each day: one before lunch and one after.
At
the end of that week I reckon I was going to be tired, but glad
to have taken part in a great event! Year 5 take note ...go next
year This is what school's all about.
