At the new school I want to have no racism and no bullying.

I want every one to be happy. I want better school work, better behaviour and for everyone to get along with each other.

Some people bully - that is not what we want.

Here are some more things I want in the new school:

I want a bigger playground,
Friendlier people;
New equipment.

I think that there will be new teachers, so I want people to be nice to the new teachers and the teachers to be nice to the kids.

That is what I want from my new school.

By Antonia, Year 5

What some of the other children want:

I hope there will be new people there. I hope there will be better cloakrooms.

I want everyone to get on with each other all the time. I hope people will be better behaved at the new school.

I think the new school is going to be the biggest and best school in Leeds.

There could be new teachers there. I hope there will be a bigger football pitch. I hope everyone will be sensible.

I hope there will be more equipment at the new school. I hope there will still be smartboards like we have here at Bentley Lane.

Everything new

We want everything to be new because it is better to have new things at a new school, otherwise it might look funny.

In the new school there should be good behaviour from the older children to set an example to the younger children.

I hope all the people who were badly behaved at the old school will behave at our new school because we want our new school to be a happy school.

Update: The children and staff moved into their new school in September 2006.
