For two years now the whole school has been getting on coaches every day to travel up to Bentley Lane, in Meanwood, but all this will soon be coming to an end. From September 2006 the new school will be open.

So Shakespeare Primary School will not be going on coaches.

Although we are moving schoolwork continues

Naqeeb (aged 9) is really looking forward to the new school:

"I think it's going to be cool and I really enjoyed working in the portacabins, but I know it is going to be lovely. I hope I will have lots of new friends"

But do all the children at Shakespeare feel the same?

Ten year old Elisha, who goes to Shakespeare Primary School, was yesterday angry over the new school being built on Stoney Rock Lane.

Elisha says:

"I am used to the building now at Bently Lane and moving again would be tiring and the change will be stressful. They never should of never pulled the old school down."
