Key Info
  • Wayne McGregor - 'Infra'
  • Duration: 03:22
  • A short section from Wayne McGregor's groundbreaking piece 'Infra'. This particular section of 'Infra' features a series of duets which build in number and choreographic complexity. The dancers keep their movement to the area within the parallel squares of light and this restriction combined with McGregor's characteristic movement of scissor legs, twisted torsos and sudden changes of direction, conjures up an image of a variety of conversations and altercations. We see Julian Opies' narrow strips of animation which contrast with the more frenetic images below. Performed by the Royal Ballet, music composed by Max Richter.
