Key Info
  • Wayne McGregor - 'Bodyscript'
  • Duration: 02:46
  • Wayne McGregor's response to a specially commissioned piece based on the writing on an ancient Athenian urn. Danced by Deborah Bull and Thomas Edur, 'Bodyscript' is typical of McGregor's style in that it is full of tensions and breaks in energy flow. In terms of technique we can see the twists of the torso and scissor legs which also typify McGregor's style. McGregor focuses on the geometry of the actual letters on the urn as a base for developing movement.
