  • The first criminal transportations to Australia began on 13 May 1787. This clip follows four transportees, who introduce themselves, discuss their 'crime' and reveal the length of their sentence. As a result of the American War of Independence, transportees were now taken to Australia. The convicts then reveal their differing fates in Austrlia.
