Tourism in Kenya
A look at the tourist industry around the Equator in Kenya. Tourism is beneficial for the economy in what would otherwise be a barren area. A tour guide and a souvenir seller talk about how they are able to make a living from tourism. Traditionally the Masai people worked on the land with animals. Now many have sold their land and instead entertain tourists with traditional dances and displays. Environmental groups are opposed to the destruction of the longest surviving nomadic way of life.
