Key Info
  • The water cycle
  • Duration: 00:52
  • An explanation of each stage of the water cycle. When the sun shines, water evaporates and rises. As the water vapour reaches a certain altitude it condenses to form clouds and precipitation occurs. This precipitation then feeds the oceans and land below, which allows the cycle to begin again.
  • Subject:

    Science

       Topic:

    Changing Materials: Reversible Change

  • Keywords: water cycle, water, cycle, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, state
Ideas for use in class
  • Children could watch this as a visual reinforcement after the water cycle has been explained. The teacher could show the children the video without the sound and ask them to write their own voiceover about each stage of the water cycle. The video could then be played back with the children narrating their own explanation.
