Key Info
  • The Prodigal Son (pt 2/2)
  • Duration: 03:55
  • A modern re-telling of the Parable of the Prodigal (lost) son, in two parts. The narrative device used is to see the story through the eyes of a 'wannabe Messiah' in the 'Kingdom of the Tramps'. The narrator is 'in the messiah business'. He's puzzled by the ideas behind the parables, and also threatened by the success of Jesus' teaching - Jesus is competition for the values he preaches. The 'Kingdom of the Tramps' pictures everyone as a beggar, at least in spiritual terms.
