  • At school the teacher sets some homework and the pupils complain about it. • Keywords: homework, Hausaufgaben, Arbeitsgemeinschaften, clubs, favourite subjects, Lieblingsfach
Ideas for use in class
  • The first part of the clip could be used with more able pupils as an introduction to the topic of homework. After having watched the clip, students could look at the advantages and disadvantages of homework. The second part of the clip would be a good introduction to the Arbeitsgemeinschaften at a German school. Pupils could make a list of the activities that they see and compare them to those available at their school. They could then produce a poster to advertise an after school activity. The song at the end of the clip woul be good to consolidate the topic on favourite subjects. Pupils can sing along as the words are at the bottom of the screen.
