An introduction to the school day in Germany including lessons, timings and breaktime activities. We meet two primary school pupils, Nikolas and Sara, who show us their school in South Berlin. We see a typical German classroom, and are introduced to their timetable including the names of some subjects. Next, we see what they eat and do at breaktime. Throughout the clip we are given the times at which pupils do each activity. Commentary in German and English.
Can be used as a listening resource as part of a 'school' or 'daily routine' unit. It could also be used for cultural purposes - pupils could use it to work out the course of a typical German school day. This could then be compared to their own.
