  • A US Senator makes a speech to a group of American businessmen about Vietnam. In fact the tide of opinion seemed to be turning in favour of America withdrawing from the war. The Senator is shown speaking clearly feels that the US war effort is not going to succeed. He also complains about the immense cost of the war and the fact that the government was raising taxes to pay for it at a time when there was civil unrest at home.
