Respiration in plants
An experiment is carried out in the dark to investigate respiration in plants. Like animals, plants respire using oxygen in the air to produce carbon dioxide and water. An experiment is set up to demonstrate this, but since plants also consume carbon dioxide during photosynthesis the experiment is carried out in the dark. The presenter explains how a chemical reaction takes place in the cells of all living things to unlock the energy in food. This clip has subtitles available in Flash.
