Planting a hawthorn hedge
Two girls help to plant a hawthorn hedge by placing the roots into the ground and covering them with soil so that the plant will not blow over. The girls explain how the individual trees will grow together to become a hedge and show how big the hedge will have grown by summer. They go on to tell us how hedges can protect some animals and provide habitats for others. This Green Balloon Club clip is published as part of the CBeebies website.
