  • Understanding the construction and interpretation of pictograms. In this animation Gordon the Crow is in charge of the bird table. One day he runs out of nuts. The stock is low and he cannot work out what is needed for the flock. Samuel the wise old owl helps by constructing a pictogram. Gordon can then see exactly how many nuts, seeds and worms he needs. On another occasion a pictogram is created where each picture represents two birds. Reading and interpreting the data is clearly explained.
